About the volcano, at last.

I have understood that this volcano thing is a big deal on the other hemisphere. People are stuck here and there, and I can see that is causing lots of trouble for lots of people. But seriously, this might be something to be happy about (provided it stops before July, when my flight to Sweden is, and before Sanna's wedding of course. Ehrm.).

Yeah, it sucks for the person not coming home to their family or not going for that well-earned trip. But it's the perfect reality check. This might fuel some fire in the politicians' butts in terms of sustainable living.

Easy for me to say, sitting here and reading online newspapers from as far away as one can be. But seriously, I would even sacrifice my Sweden trip if something really good actually came out of this.

Anyway.

Approximately 26500 years ago, New Zealand had a volcano eruption. A pretty huge one. It made Lake Taupo, NZ's biggest lake.

It has a surface of 616 square kilometers. That's almost double the urban area of Stockholm.

Just saying.
