The Audition and how it went.

I guess you remember my Unexpected Callback? I was pretty nervous on my way there, not knowing what to expect. Would everyone have gotten a callback? Would we have to fight spacemen again?

The meeting took place at the Weta Workshop, which didn't really make me less nervous. (For non-New Zealanders, it might be worth to add that Weta is a Big Deal. They've made just about all of the coolest movies - Avatar, District 9 and Lord of the Rings.)

After a big talk with the crew and a short Michael Jackson choreography we were told to wait in a room. Then a girl came in and said "Can you come out first, Emmy, we got a special role in mind for you."

(Rubbish bin? Piano? Stationary tree? Opening the curtains?)

They gave be some beautiful compliments, and then told me they want me to be Eve. As in Eve, the first woman on earth. As in, doing some sort of solo performance in front of 300 people. In body paint. With incredible special effects.

Needless to say, I'm stoked. I've got butterflies in my tummy. I'm gonna spend my Sundays at Weta, working with the coolest, most creative people in the industry, all the way to November and the big shows.

And to think that I was close to turning in the door at the first audition.
