Slam - 3 in 1!

21. Hydration
You should drink water more often – it’s good for you and makes you feel happy. But it should also be fun. Buy yourself a water bottle – not one of those one-use plastic ones, but something grymm, like a stainless steel masterpiece or a skull-shaped bottle. Or find yourself a beautiful vintage glass bottle and use that. I bet you’ll feel like a pirate!

I found a perfect bottle - an old vodka glass bottle! Not only is it huge and has some Russian letters, it feels so wonderfully decadent to skull out of it.

Rock star bottle

22. Out, out, dammed spot!
Quote Shakespeare at inappropriate moments. If you’ve never developed an appreciation for Shakespeare, it’s never too late to pick up a copy of Richard III or a Midsummer Night’s Dream. Or why not go against the grain and read some Ben Johnson or Thomas Marlowe instead? They were bloody good, too.

AND

23. Ancient Foibles
If you really, really can’t understand the modern English, read Aristophanes – an ancient Greek comic writer. He’s hilarious. Seriously, laugh out loud funny, especially if you have a passing knowledge of ancient Greek culture and mythology. Try the Lysistrate, a play about a group of wives who are desperate to stop the war between Athens and Sparta and bring their husbands home to sleep with them – so desperate, they declare a SEX STRIKE until the war is over. Hilarity Ensues.

I do like the Shakespeare quotes, and decided on a couple for the day. I used "Tomorrow, tomorrow and tomorrow" (with Sam, he looked a bit confused, but is quite used to my sometimes dramatic and grammatically weird statements), "Parting is such a sweet sorrow" (as a dramatic goodbye when Sam was going to the bathroom, he replied "YOU're a sweet sorrow", which i don't take too personally).

As for Lysistrate, we did a version of it in my high school drama class, so I'm already familiar with it. I put my energy into the Shakespeare instead.

Cheer-me-up factor: 4 out of 10. It sure spices up your day to be a bit weird without explaining yourself, and drinking water out of a vodka bottle. Nothing revolutionary, but nice.
