Tacheles

Tacheles is a free art space in the middle of Berlin. It's a place for artists to work and sell their stuff. It's an injection of freedom and alternatives in the very city center. It's a tourist attraction and a photo object, but also a condition for Berlin to stay creative.

In two weeks, the artists are getting kicked out for something more profitable (HSH Nordbank). Taylor said that they are threatened every once in a while, and that so far they've managed to stay open. This time though, it's more critical.

I've been inside for a couple of hours, tops. But it's breaking my heart thinking of these extremely talented artists getting kicked out just in order for someone with a lot of money to make more.

Save Tacheles.
