Swedish awesome things x 3

Despite the distance to my home country, I think I'm keeping up surprisingly well with what's going on. Today, these three things made me ridiculously happy:

1. Rocky.

When Ines was in Guadeloupe, I cut out the Rocky strips from weeks and weeks worth of newspapers and sent them to her in a fat envelope. Now, anyone can read them online: DN På Stan.

The only comic that ever made me laugh out loud. Even ROFL if you will. Yep, it's in Swedish. And pretty untranslatable, sorry.







2. Oskar Linnros.



I remember when he wrote his tags on all the white boards in school. Him and Daniel were so cocky: "We're gonna make it. You'll see."

Of course they did.

His new solo album is amazing. Allow me to quote Sam, who absolutely hates dancing: "I'd dance to this at a club." And then he gave me a sample dance. Damn catchy tunes.



3. Victoria + Daniel (The Swedish royal wedding between the crown princess and the gym instructor.)

Maybe I find it so moving because it's hasn't been forced upon me for months, but only seen from the other side of the world.

I do think the whole royalty thing is pretty ridiculous.

But. I saw a few videos this morning. Victoria is so beautiful, so strong and human and princess perfect. And Daniel's speech and his tears in the church. As we saw earlier this week, I am a complete crybaby. But try to watch this with dry eyes:
